Show Horse Council SA INC held their 2nd Annual Rising Star Championship Show at the lovely town of Mt Pleasant. The début show last year attracted good support but this time around even though held late in the season [courtesy of EI] the numbers were excellent. Judges from Victoria was mother and daughter team, Loris & Shelly Kellock, breeders, show producers of in-hand and ridden stock to Royal and National level. Even though faced with a huge program, they handled the day along with passing on helpful guidance to finish on time. While there were many lovely horses that caught the eye during the day, the show hunters in SA have really gone ahead, with good numbers showing and a few newcomers that will do their owners proud over the next season as they come into form. |

Champion hack in-hand was Skansen Purist shown by Samantha Kennedy, Champion Galloway Illarak Cauvette was Julie Mazzoleni, Champion Pony 12.2hh ne 14hh Kolbeach Classique - Angela Forster and Champion Pony ne 12.2hh Wesley Dale Love Affair - Victoria Fricker, a lovely lineup of which Skansen Purist was called forwarded for the Supreme Led Show Exhibit. Newcomers, Champion Ridden over 16hh was The Godfather - Dianne Harris, Champion 15hh - 16hh Byalee Millions - Melissa Kareservetz, Champion Galloway DQ Etchings - Cheree McKenzie, Champion Pony 12.2hh - 14hh Kolbeach Classique - Angela Forster and Champion Pony ne 12.2hh Wynara Muffin - Dani Jolly-Blacket. The Supreme Newcomer Show Hack was Byalee Millions. Novice Ridden champions in for the supreme were, hack DS Red Label - Tonia Scaife, Galloway Kolbeach Royal Blue - Leslie Griggs, large pony Sanlirra King of Hearts - Emily Foale-Jacka and small pony Winddale Lloyd - Breanna Duncan-Coward. The Supreme Novice Show Hack was DS Red Label. Open ridden champion winners were, hack CK Secret Affairs - Cassandra White, hack 15hh - 16hh Dance For Me - Leanne Donoghue, Large Galloway Janevelyn McCree - Gayle Manning, Small Galloway Keanbre Deja Vu - Melissa Kareservetz, large Pony Braefoot Park Spring Temptress - Penny Dawes, small Pony Mondiso Park Peeping Tom - Breanna Forster, a super line-up but it was the elegant and totally gorgeous hack Dance for Me that took the honors of Supreme Open Ridden today. |
