The hard working Gippsland and Peninsula Regional promotional group held the 4th annual Pre Royal show today at Ayr Hill Hillcrest Christian collage.

After weeks of rain, driving winds and a constant cloud coverage that resulted in a number of other shows been cancelled, the Ayr Hill pre-royal got underway with bright sunshine and not a drop of rain to be seen.

The rings were moved from the oval to the indoor (of sorts) and other various sand arenas. Horse and riders seemed more than happy with the arrangements and the day ran smoothly with very few hold-ups.

This years Judges were Stephanie Jennison ring one,  Amanda Dunn ring two,  Sarah Tappy in Ring three, Liz Carlile ring four, Harold Hartelt judged the registered breeds and Jan Jennison in ring six.

The led classes were down in numbers but the ridden classes were very well supported.

Unfortunately not many decided to stay around for the Supremes with only two in the open led and  three exhibits waiting for the open ridden.

But all six exhibits fronted for the supreme hunter, the supremes were judged in the indoor and started with the led, the winner Yarradene Unforgettable and T Child. The supreme open ridden was won by Nadal and B Payne and the supreme hunter was won by Christmas Day.
