In recent times we have purchased a number of new mares that represent some of Australia's best bloodlines.  The breeding stock, I believe is the importance of our success and I am proud to introduce four beautiful mares all with their unique qualities:- 

Sanlirra Trinket (Rathowen XL / Sanlirra Truffle)  A pony with breeding I have chased for 15 years!   I feel privileged to own this mare.  Trinket's movement is effortless, so light on her feet, her type is amazing with lovely flat fine bone and scope

Rathowen Summerhayes pic opposite (Courtland Boy Blue (IMP) Radway Royal Sonnet)adds a world famous pedigree, and is from a family of Royal Show Champion’s.  Daisy brings extravagant paces and that true show pony charisma.

Rothwell Mysterous Ways (Jackets Blue Bird (IMP) / Rothwell Peny Arcade) is a pony with explosive paces, extremely elegant and a real saddle type.

Melody Park English Rose pic opposite (Vale Park Spotlight/Sanlirra Something Special), extreme front, beautiful flat bone and with movement to burn.

It is lovely, as a breeder, to see ponies by Maximus of Astral in the Champion circles at Royal showtime.  It also makes me proud to receive so many emails from people who have bought our ponies.  The temperaments of our youngsters are definitely a talking point by many and something of which we are very proud!  

The next few years for Melody Park will be nothing but exciting as we see the Melody Park mould unfold with our young stallion Maximus of Astral and his band of beautifully bred mares.  We believe the stud will make a valuable contribution to the Riding Pony breed in Australia and New Zealand for many years to come!
