The 2010
Victorian Pony Challenge got underway this weekend with
perfect weather one day and the complete opposite the
next, typical Melbourne weather!
But it takes
more than a few puddles to hold back some of the up and
coming stars of the pony dressage scene. While pony
dressage is still very much in its growing stage, the
improvement in all aspects of training and riding
'dressage' has keenly been taken up by the riders and
owners.
A total
of 80 riders attended this super event, competing in
young stock classes thru to official, associate tests
and with the legendary pony 6 bar thrown in on the
Saturday night for some high flying excitement.
____________
Penmain
all a Glitter shown opposite travels in a lovely
soft frame showing a pony can be multi purpose; a show
pony one day, dressage star the next. Rossanne's coach
is Bernie Saunders and they have been putting in a lot
of solid foundation training into this lovely little
pony, he is to be one to watch as he gets more
experience under his belt.
Bianca
Schewtschenko had a good looking Glyndebourne Mancini
out on the weekend, another showing the quality of a
show pony been able to multi talented. |
