Allison O’Neil has no such trouble as she is a professional FEI rider who takes the ride on Everton Luisa who is by Lord Sinclair (Lanciano x Raueck 1) out of the impressive mare Angelinsky.

Luisa successfully passed her classification and mare performance test with the Hanoverian Horse Association of Australia earlier this year. She is now out competing and achieving terrific results. She will be aimed for the Dressage Festival and Victorian State Championships later this year with some impressive percentages under her girth. Luisa is however very reluctantly offered for sale. We have more outstanding youngsters by Lord Sinclair ready to be broken in and will be started shortly.”

This lead me to enquire about what arrivals are expected later this year.

Kate:- “2010 will be an exciting and busy breeding season for Everton. We have 5 foals due from sires including San Amour, Floriscount, I. Alliance and Capone.

Unfortunately our multi awarded producer Clayschool has lost her Desperados foal, which was bitterly disappointing and frustrating. She is becoming a difficult breeding mare, but has produced EV De Lite (Hanoverian Foal of the Year) and numerous other outstanding black, elegant individuals.

However on a brighter note her Elite Mare Candidate daughter EV Rosaria (by Rosario), is safely carrying a much anticipated San Amour (Sandro Hit x Plaisir d Ámour) foal. It is hoped the Clayschool dynasty will live on with a filly!

Given that half of our property is locked up for pasture improvement and we need to make room for 5 new foals, we need to sell some of our current young stock over winter.”

Presently the stud has stock with sire lines of De Niro, Farewell III (x2) and Sir Donnerhall, ready to go on. One thing with Kate she is realistic, speaking about the purchasing costs of WB these days, Kate is very honest and sincere when she said she would rather negotiate on sale prices for the sake of their youngsters going into competition and loving homes.

So could we be looking at a first in the Warmblood world…. a winter woolies sale??

Kate: “well I suppose that would be a great catch phrase, seriously we would like to offer an opportunity for riders to buy their next superstar bred by some of the worlds best sires at a bargain price, given that we have some rising 3yr olds by spring new owners could be setting things in motion for breaking in and starting these youngsters.”
