On Sunday 4^th May the SA Welsh RPS conducted a very successful Welsh & Riding Pony foal show at Hazelmere, Echunga. Our judge for this years show was Di Aumman from Victoria.

Champion Section A foal went to Rivington Stud’s grey colt  Rivington Spring Fever with Reserve to Dalbrae Stud’s bay filly Dalbrae Violet.

Champion Section B foal went to the cream colt Rivington Bubbling Over who was sold at the Show to Yvette Kennedy of SA. Reserve Champion Section B foal went to the liver chestnut colt Rivington Windrow who was also sold and is now in Victoria with his new owner Kay Dawson.

Unfortunately we did not have any entries in our Section C classes, but Champion Section D went to Pen-nat Stud’s lovely big colt Pen-nant Riverdance and Reserve to the same stud’s black filly Pen-nat Heiress.

Rivington Stud topped of a brilliant show by winning Best Welsh Foal with Rivington Spring Fever and Runner-up Best Welsh Foal with Rivington Bubbling Over.

The Part Welsh classes were next, Champion Filly was Balena Monique 11 owned by Balena Stud who also own the Champion Colt/Gelding Balena Peter Pan. Peter Pan went on to win Best Part Welsh exhibit and Runner Up to Balena Monique 11. Reserve Part Welsh filly went to Rivington Thistle and Reserve Colt/Gelding to Corumbene Impressionable.

In the Riding Pony Stud Book classes Braefoot Park dominated. Champion Colt/Gelding went to Braefoot Park Royal Song and Reserve Colt/Gelding went to Balena Peter Pan.

Champion Filly was the bay and Reserve went to Balena Monique 11.

Champion Show Hunter foal went to Corumbene Impressionable and Reserve to Rivington Love Tangle.

Supreme Riding Pony Exhibit  went to the exquisite Braefoot Park Royal Song  and Runner Up Supreme to the elegant Braefoot Park Inspiration.

The perfect weather brought lots of spectators and an enjoyable day was had by all.
