What a
great start to the Barastoc Horse of the
Year show here in South Australia...
perfect weather [okay the temp did get
up around 33] the Adelaide show grounds
gave the perfect backdrop to an event of
this standard. I have been told major
events especially with any changes, by
the third time running they have it
flowing, but hats of to the committee
they got it right only in its second
year at its new venue. It is clear the
competitors approve of the changes, this
year boasted huge entries, so
today the SA Barastoc Horse of the Year
stands as a premier event here in South
Australia.
Of course
it goes with out saying, thankyou to all
the wonderful sponsors that put in to
support our sport and especially
Barastoc, they do so much for our sport!
So on to the show, our main picture
shows the delightful and talented
Melissa Karutz, having watched her
career unfold since a child, I have
always admired her dedication coupled
with such enthusiasm for the show ring.
Today Melissa took home the Angleface
Beauty SA Champion Senior Rider of the
Year. Runner-up was Rachel Lawrie, with
in order of placing's:- Cassandra White,
Angela Donaldson, Angel Foster and
Lesley Burrows.
Barastoc Intermediate Rider of the Year,
another one of SA lovely riders it was
Tess Hughes winning the title, runner up
was Emily Dennis, then in order of
placings:-
Naomi Karutz, Denae Moir, Elise Williams
and Alexa Styles. |
