Feb 10 - June 10

This year saw PV Magic begin her show career in hand and how proud we are of her, Bungendore was her first show and for anyone that has ever been to this show knows its a very busy one with multiple rings, whips cracking and who could forget the antique steam engines, she did extremely well winning both her RP and ASP classes. Gunning was next with Reserve Champion ASP, and then onto Canberra where she picked up 3rd in her RP class and 5th in her ASP. We were totally thrilled with these results and her performance and she handled herself like a true professional. A huge thankyou must go to Amanda my fantastic friend for her help and support at these shows along with my sister Chelsea who proved that she's still got "it", and of course my dear family.

Our two lovely foals are coming along nicely and will be ready for some in hand showing in the upcoming season. Double TT Bravo has gone off to a lovely show home in Victoria we wish Donna all the best with this fellow who I believe will be a real superstar in the future. Our lovely filly PV Regal Secrets who was to be show in hand this season sadly had a nasty paddock accident kicking out at the magnitude of bot flies we seemed to have this season, thanks to our wonderful vet Rebecca at (CVH) she will be ok but will be rested for the next 12 months or so. We eagerly await the arrival of our first crop of Mainstream foals due in September,  all our mums are looking spectacular. Grace and Tommy started pony club this year at our local club here in Murrumbateman both enjoying the days and look forward to many more (see pic in the gallery)

The improvements to our property "Merindah" continue with more fencing being replaced and the paddocks being cleared of the 20 years worth of timber, most weekends at the moment consist of picking up sticks and carting wood, planting trees and general tidying up around the property. Winter will see us finish off our yards and breeding facilities and somewhere in there squeeze in some time off.

Aug 09 – Jan 10

Wishing everyone a Happy New and hoping that everyone had a lovely Christmas.

It’s been a while since we updated the website, and it’s only due to how busy our lives have become. In the last 6 months we have been busy growing our broodmares with the purchase of another TB mare Rose. We now have 2 TB mares who are both in foal to Mainstream this season so we hope for a couple of superstar Galloway’s. Prestonvale Magic returned from a month with Anthony Mountney back in August and came back ready to commence her show career in hand we were very pleased with the work that Anthony did with Lilly. She has been entered for Canberra Royal in her RP and ASP classes.

Major enhancements to our property “Merindah” have been keeping us busy power has finally been connected to our stables along with a brand new arena and roundyard. A new shed, and driveway have been completed and the foundations laid for our breeding and serving facilities. We still have plenty of projects on the list, re-fencing of the entire property and our foaling down paddocks which we will attempt to do throughout the winter ready for next breeding season

We have finished foaling down for this season with Bimbadeen Intricate presenting us with an elegant Bay filly by Ainthorpe Graceful Sonnet she has the most amazing front not unlike her dad and movement to die  for with the sweetest of temperaments we are over the moon with the quality of this filly. The other arrival for us was out of our Australian mare Lakevale Whisper an outstanding colt by Syon Royal Portrait he has an amazing neck set and the longest of fronts already and boy can he move. He should mature 13hh and will definitely be one to watch out for not bad for a first foal.  This magnificent colt will be offered for sale in the near future. We have also finished our first breeding season with our new stallion Langtree Mainstream and are extremely pleased with the results all girls covered by him went in foal first time around. He is the most delightful individual and is such a gentleman to do anything with we feel so very lucky to have him.

July 09 Prestonvale Magic has been sent off to Anthony Mountney this month to begin her professional show training. She will be shown in hand this coming season.

June 09 The big news for us this month was the safe arrival of our new stallion Langtree Mainstream, we are so thrilled to have been given the opportunity to purchase this truly magnificent fellow who is an absolute gentlemen in everyway, we look forward to covering our mares this season and will eagerly await the results.

We searched high and low for this quality fellow and are so thankful to Jodie Hall of Foxhall Stud for agreeing to part with him, we know how difficult this was for her and assure her that we would treasure him. I also have to thank Jan Langley for her assistance in helping us make this decision along with Joan Bell from “Belrose Park”.  I also need to say a huge thanks to by dear friend Amanda Williams ”Kaneema Park” who was instrumental in provide me with loads of wise council on buying a stallion for which I am very grateful.

This month also saw us brand our very first “Prestonvale” Pony for the stud a day which was very exciting for us and helps cement what we have set out to achieve.

Jan-May 09

The year started off very busy for us, with the move to our new property “Merindah” a beautiful 40 acres just 5 minutes out of the township of Murrumbateman. Everyone (Horses, Dogs, Cats, Kids, Husband) seems to have settled in well to our new home. It’s going to be great, the place is really well setup for breeding horses with a great stable complex, yards and good clean paddocks. The entire block is sheltered by pine trees.
