Conditions of entry
•All riders and owners must be current
financial members of EA at the time of
entry and on the day of the show or have
taken up the Barastoc Insurance option.
Refer Section 7 in Conditions of entry.
• This event is open to all young riders
between the ages of 12 and 18 years of
age. The age of the riders is taken from
the 1st January 2013.
• This event is designed to promote
all-round horsemanship ability; it takes
the dollar value away as it is not
necessary to have an expensive horse or
gear to compete and is judged solely on
the ability of the rider to complete all
tasks. The event is to find the best
“all-round” competitor and will have a
different judge for each section.
• To be ridden in a Snaffle Bridle
(Simple eggbutt or loose ring snaffle,
jointed or straight)
• No Gear (Saddles, bridles etc) can be
changed in between phases
• Ridden Work out will be available on
the EV and Barastoc website by 5/2/13
• Enter on ‘Rider’ entry form.
Phase 1
– Individual Ridden Section
Scoring: Ridden workout (set workout) 25
points Arena Workout 20 x 20
Horses performance 25 points
Phase 2
– Jumping – • 12 to 15 years (65cm)
16-18 Years (75cm) Arena Workout 20 x 40
Scoring: over 6 jumps 25 points
Phase 3
- In Hand Section
Scoring: In Hand 25 points Arena Workout
20 x 20
Prizes
The winner of each class will receive a
Sash.
The placegetters (2nd – 6th) of each
class will receive a Sash
The overall Champion (from winners of
classes 84 - 90) will receive a Trophy.
The overall Champion will be the class
winner with the highest points. If
scores are equal, a count back will take
