We urge people to make use of COD, unless transaction can be done in person. We urge caution and do not recommend direct payments into persons account – We urge sellers not to send on goods without payment, hence our preference that deals are done via COD.

Ask for complete details of seller/buyer: Name, address, contact phone number.
While many will deal with initial emails through a gmail/yahoo/hotmail account, once you are going to be handing over money we urge that you verify you have the ability to actually trace seller if goods are not forthcoming. Eques is not responsible to chase up, we suggest at least one phone call to seller to verify they can be contacted if needed. Checking address can be done via internet search.
Any seller not willing to provide you with details at the stage of a money transaction, please advise Eques and they shall have their posting rights removed –period-

Note at the start of each month all listings are deleted - you are welcome to re-post, this is so the forum runs smoothly.

No unpaid Eques advertiser will be permitted to post a picture of the advertised horse/goods to the Eques General Forum within the calendar month that the ad appears on BSS. This will date for 30 days after your advertisement appears. I.E An ad posted on Nov 28th will bar posting of a picture thread on the forum until Dec 29th
BSS ads are free in a basic format. Featured ads where you wish to change colouring of font and have your ad noticed first, will be available to Paid Advertisers.
Stud logos, photos, links to photos and links to websites WILL ONLY be permitted for Paid Advertisers
ANYONE SELLING WITH GST; MUST follow these guidlines, any advert with GST that does not meet the below will be nuked:
The law now states that any selling price that has a GST component must be advertised as; $2200 inc GST NOT $2000 plus GST
The law also now states that the component pricing in a trade advert must be advertised in full; A vehicle dealer can no longer advertise a car as $20,000 plus on road costs. The advertiser must state $25,000 including all on road costs.
This also applies to horse float/truck manufacturers, travel agents etc. Anyone that
Stallions advertisers: Same deal as above (the GST component must be included in the stud fee) but where there is an extra fee (eg vet & agistment) involved the following applies;
If the extra fee is an unknown then it must be stated as: Stud Fee: $2000 inc GST. Vet and agistment fees extra, will vary depending on clients requirements.
If the extra fee is a definite know amount then it must be stated as: Stud Fee: $2000 inc GST, vet and agistment fees.
NB: Changes to BSS to close up the loopholes that posters have made glaringly obvious by driving a truck through them.
We have attempted to keep it very simple but imagine that these will be added to in future when posters find a way to get more for free.
