I have no idea whether this will be of any interest to any of you who have horses who are suffering from EPSM, but there is an interesting article and video on http://www.thehorse.com/ViewArticle.aspx?ID=13776 about Genetic Diagnosis of Polysaccharide Storage Myopathy which I think is same/similar? (Sorry, excuse my ignorance as I don't have a horse that suffers from this...) |

Oh good, glad it's not just me. I actually sent Sandy an email to bring it to her attention, but don't know if she got it since this is still here. LOL |

I tryed Maxi Soy and my hourse hated it and were colicky! Even tried to add molasses to get them to eat it but then the sugar gave my little pony laminitis! My vet recommended Speedi Beet and the horses and pony loved it., plus you feed half as much! so even through Maxi Soy is cheeper you have to feed double the amount so no cheaper. Check out the digestible energy DE of Maxisoy is 8.41 MJ/kg vs DE of Speedi Beet is 14 MJ/kg-almost double! I am sticking to speedi beet! |

What is the best weight gain for a EPSM horse? Horse currently getting lucerne, speedibeet, lupins and hygain zero. She isnt too fond on the zero or speedibeet and i need to get more weight on her. She is getting the current weight amount of feed, but she isnt wanting to eat the zero or speedibeet |
