APSB ACTION DAY  

The APSB Action Day has been gaining popularity over the years, this year it was record numbers as Werribee Park was invaded by ponies of all descriptions. Who would have thought this time of the year perfect weather would be the order of the day as well ..it just all made for the start of a fantastic weekend of ponies performing in all aspects.

The APSB recognisees the versatility of their many breeds under their umbrella and this day designed so ponies could step out of the show rings, come across from Pony Club and compete on a even playing field. Not forgetting what any society is all about, the committee made sure there was plenty of events for the little ones with their own Topsie ring. It was a great day and as said with huge numbers the event ran well into the early evening.

The results are as follows within this report, but special awards were presented to highest scoring ponies in their own bred sections, the Best Performed Shetland Pony was Kara Woolcock & N Munday: BOJINDA LITTLE KEIKO ridden by Kara Woolcock, Best Performed Australian Pony was Kingsfred Stud: KINGSFRED OSCAR ridden by Megan Tainsh, Best Performed Welsh Pony was the Matthews Family: ALKONIE DREAM TIME ridden by Emma Matthews, Best Performed New Forest Pony was JAROSITE PICKASON ridden and owned by Gabrielle George, Best Performed Connemara Pony was Mrs Carolyn McKenzie: BALLANTRAE FIESTA ridden by Emmeline McKenzie, Best Performed Highland Pony was Gallagher & MacLachlan: HARKAWAY LODGE HAWTHORN ridden by Rebecca Holland, Best Performed Topsy was Mrs V Maurice-Smith: OAK PARK EVANGELISTA ridden by Vienna Smith, Best Performed APSB Partbred or APSB Riding Pony was Miss Juliette Haddow's MARENA NIGHT SKY, Best Forest Pony Dressage was Carol Hibbert & Ninebanks Tim Tam and finaly the Best Forest Pony Showjumping, Handy Mount, Combined Training, PC/HRCAV & Working Hunter was Jarosite Pickason ridden and owned by Gabrielle George.
