We were entertained by some super ponies in the Hygain freestyles on the Saturday night, Jack the flying welsh ridden by Norm was again out there doing what the two boys do best... having a great time. Of course View Bank Boyd was as per the normal foot perfect and such a little gentleman.

Novice Freestyle winner  Sooo Fabulous &  Isabella Dihm

Elementary Freestyle Kapeta Kip  & Ellen Sherwood

Medium Freestyle View Bank Boyd & Nirelle Somerville

Advanced Freestyle  Bamon Imperial Jack & Norm Clark

Of course the 6 Bar.... last year it was exciting and this year was none the different, when it came down to the last 3 ponies standing the dearest little white pony stood tall 'Talkin All That Jazz', from the angle we were on I'm sure the jumps were bigger than him but he turned into the line and didn't bat a eye lid, heart and soul went into every single jump, he had it written all across his face 'I can do it, I can do it' ...there was not one person that wasn't there wishing him to excel but that last fence, he took off with all the guts of a thoroughbred and just didn't make it... bringing the rail down, but he got a standing ovation as even though he didn't win the event, he was a winner. The next pony threw himself into the task 'Kapeta Kip' as we all know is just a legend but he sadly brought a rail in the 2nd last jump, so that left the final pony Monahan Harrison, what a super star! he flew , showing a clean set of heels as he made short work of the final jump standing at 1.20mt high to be this years champion.

Thanks go to judges Bernie Saunders and Debbie Williams who judged the young stock and material classes, it really is super to have people of  their standing doing these types of classes, both ladies are top breeders and also compete, they have a eye for a good horse...or in this case pony, I was trying to catch up with them to get their reports on the day but sadly missed them, but for those interested Bernie is doing a write up on Cyberhorse on her account of the day which would be informative reading for all, as Bernie has been overseas and seen first hand the pony dressage movement [now if we could get Bernie to hold some pony dressage clinics...]

Saturday night was over and tomorrow was D' day and with no thanks to WPNEC as riders competiting at the largest Pony Dressage event in Victoria at what is meant to be National Equestrain Center, we were about to be let down ...bigtime
