The highlight of today would have to have been the novice galloways presented to judge Sally Miller, the 14-14.2hh class was exceptional, a nice selection of talent. The winner was Lillian McEvoy’s Gordon Park Masquerade, a very forward, bold gelding that took the win from the very strong class. The 14.2-15hh, again quality across the field, and it was Rafferty Horse Rugs Kolbeach Limelight that took first place. The two geldings meeting for the novice champion, different types but both super moving galloways. The Champion Novice Galloway was awarded to Gordon Park Masquerade.

The novice pony section was shared judging between Raymond Butler and Sally Miller. Typically for SA exhibit numbers were high, the winners of their individual height sections to come in for the champion novice pony were: Chippenham Titled 13.2-14, Tapu Private Rendezvous 13-13.2hh, Raleigh Picture Perfect 12.2-13hh, Springwood Far Away Moon 12-12.2hh, Merivale Park Toy Soldier 11.2-12hh. Some really sweet ponies, with the winner going to Sally Redpath’s Chippenham Titled.
