The Parkdale Hack was a large class, funny how things go, first thing when I arrived I saw a stunner been worked in the morning, chestnut with chrome and I must admit oozing the 'wow' factor... now that made it 2 chestnuts that I fancied, Famous and Next Chapter both looked to be sweet and true workers. When the time arrived to see all the contenders it was going to be a great class, however there was a few that just didn't make the grade on the workouts ....again 'on the forehand' with the big horses they really have to have the motor going in the backend otherwise all picture of elegance is lost. My mornings fancy turned to be the champion newcomer Famous owned and ridden by Sam Kennedy, this delightful gelding has been brought along ever so gently with only a few shows under his belt ....a lad we are sure to see more of over the coming years. Runner-up was a lovely bay Ashbury owned and ridden by Amillia Rackham and my other fav chestnut he came in 3rd Next Chapter owned by Jayne Giersch and ridden by Leanne Donoghue. |
