Day 3 of Barastoc heated up both in temperature and in competition, the judging of the Newcomer classes, with the strongest class been the hack section, with many exciting new youngsters making their début for their first Barastoc HOY show. Judges Ms Charlotte Mitton, SA, Ms. Gina Montgomery, NSW, Mr Garry Robson, NSW and Mrs. Amanda Edwards, QLD after sorting through huge prelim classes to get their individual top ten exhibits. It was a great win for Caroline Reid's Rule superbly shown by Michael Christie, the bright, forward and athletic TB worked a treat to take this years sash. So after a tiring day is extreme heat on the main arena it was then over to the indoor for the International Challenge for 2007, this event has grown in popularity and again this year every table sold and while slightly muggy indoors with bar open any discomforts from the heat were well drowned away, topped with a super meal and a smorgasbord of our champions working out for the beautiful sashes and trophies.
