The 2005 SA Show Horse of the Year got away to a great start, perfect weather and staged down at the lovely John Vaughan Equestrian Park snuggled in the beautiful parkland, that Adelaide is renowned for. Although not the quietest park, it was amazing how the horse were not fazed by the trains running behind them or the planes flying above them. The show is proudly supported by Stable Master and a host of other good sponsors that will be mentioned within the events they have donated for, again we ask all enthusiast of the show world to endeavor to support these good companies that enable our sport to continue, or even a nice thank you note to them …it all goes towards encouraging them to stay with us all. The inclusion of the popular Owner/rider events saw two rings running on the Saturday, with newcomer’s also competing. Unfortunately I missed the morning’s event after taken ill on arrival into Adelaide subject to what some have accused as a hangover... not! Over the next few pages Eques has captured a variety of equines competing and of course we shall have the full results for viewing, it was a fantastic 2 days with some of the best horses and ponies on display ...one thing for sure this years National Show Horse of the Year in December has one strong team coming in from Sth Australia! |
