 Welcome
to another coverage of the great APSB Stud Show held down here in
Victoria in Geelong. As per the normal it was a hectic weekend, with
ponies of all descriptions showing in an array of classes from Harness,
saddle and of course in in-hand. This year the APSB group brought back
in the show hunter classes in-hand and under saddle which were supported
well by exhibitors on the Saturday, with some super true to type ponies
gracing the arena.Of course there was the endless line of cute children, with their trusty mounts which this society goes out of their way to make sure there is plenty of classes for them. It was also refreshing to see the events for encouraging the next generation of judges with the Junior Judging events. All in all, it is the work from a dedicated committee [many who have ponies as well to show] that this show is 'as friendly' and well run, okay there is a problem with stables, well rather the lack of but the committee did express the options for members to please attend the next general meeting and offer ways of trying to make this part better. |

| A special thank you to Elaine Hartlet for playing ear pricker first thing Sunday morning, and then Leonie Tooby of Glenview Stud who fronted up for her photos at around lunch and stayed right till the end 5pm helping to get horses ears and standing up for me! with her delightful yearling colt in-hand, who was a model of how to achieve perfect manners in company. I can not thank these ladies enough, especially Leonie as my 'neighing horses ear prickers' died not long after Elaine left meaning it looked like been a very long frustrating day without my faithful little aids! |
