Judges this year were Allison Sullings of the ACT (with a baby due in March) and Ann McCelland of NSW. They did a textbook job and would have to be two of the most delightful judges you could wish for. Both were meticulous and consistent, taking the approach that every class was a whole new ball game and runs on the board, connections or reputation counted for nought. It was performance on the day they rewarded. Without sponsorship, there would be none of these top-shelf events to challenge and entertain and the horse community needs to support and encourage their generosity. This show owes its existence primarily to Hygain, renowned within the show world for their focus on horse health through innovative development of specialised feeds and supplements. Other sponsors were Horseland Adelaide, Braefoot Park and Thumper -the professional massager for both human and horse.
Other keys to getting and keeping this top show on the road are the hard-working officials: Jayne Dichiera, Elizabeth Chapman, Jayne Dichiera, Alyson Emery, Julie Lloyd, Elizabeth Chapman, Hannah Maddocks, Shelley Williams, Diane Williams, Peter Edwards, Kent Hallett, Jayne Giersch, Julie Lloyd, and Peter Edwards.
