Victorian Carriage Driving Championships 2006

Victorian carriage driving championships was held at Catani over the long weekend, hosted by Gippsland Pleasure Harness Society. Well supported by harness enthusiasts the event started with the driver, horse and vehicle appraised as a team, the aim to look smart and elegant, that they did… a touch I presume like our saddle horses smartest on parade, then the dressage phase, were movements are combined to show true balance, lightness and harmony between the driver and their horse. There were some outstanding combinations over the day but you would have to tip your hat to the drivers of teams undertaking this phase within quite a tight area, they made it look so easy.
