Cloverfern Columbia
Chestnut mare, 1999
15.3 hands

We could not be happier with our lovely little mare, Columbia (“Lottie”). Columbia is by the Swedish Warmblood Stallion Vancouver II who is the star on Kyra Kyrklunds training tapes.  He is the stunning chestnut that does all the movements perfectly.

Kyra brought Vancouver II out to Australia for Mary Hanna. He was already a successful Grand Prix performer and he was sold by Mary to Emily and Sally Carter of Cloverfern Warmblood Stud, where Emily continued to compete with him at FEI level.

Lottie has given us two very beautiful fillies. They have both inherited her wonderful, easy going and kind temperament, and both have been very big! Lottie is very correct in her movement, temperament and conformation, and is proving to be a very valuable brood mare.

Lottie will be inseminated with Amiral semen this season to produce a dressage partner for South Australian FEI rider and Coach, Sue Thornley.

Sunbury Lodge Pixie
Bay mare, 1996
16.2 hands

Pixie has been my competition horse at Elementary level and we were training Medium at home before I put her in foal as part of my succession plan. I have never enjoyed a horse with such a wonderful work ethic, so trainable, such a pleasure to work with and own, as Pixie.

Pixie is by the Donnerhall stallion, Donnerheist, again imported to Australia. On her dam side, she is out of a Salute mare with Kilof McHol on the dam side. You really don’t get much better blood lines than that in early Australian warmblood breeding.

We put Pixie in foal to Falsterbo and she gave us a super spunky colt (Svenska Fanstastisk) who we will be retaining for the time being.  Pixie, being the career woman that she is, will now return to the competition arena with South Australian rider, Carly Boon.  We will be keeping track of their achievements on the “horses in action” page.

Camilla Sv
Dark Brown ASB mare 1995
16 hands

Camilla is a wonderfully athletic mare, having played in centre position A Grade Polo throughout Australia, before being retired in 2005. She has since successfully carried and raised a Donnerblitz filly by Embryo Transfer, and will this year be joined with Swedish Riding Pony, Power Boy.

Camilla Sv is by the French Thoroughbred stallion Tinterosse, out of Sober Queen, by Noalcoholic. Not only is she incredibly athletic, but has a wonderful kind and gentle soul, and we are very eager to see the result of her cross with Power Boy.
